I attended an inspirational and informative Seminar on Herbs and Sleep recently, organised by the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy.

There was some fascinating research and evidence on the efficacy of fig bud tincture in promoting sleep. This new relatively new way of producing remedies from budding plants is known as Gemmotherapy.
In the Mysteries of Isis, it is said
to sleep under the fig tree secures rest and quiet.
Buds are harvested in the early Spring. Please see the magical process of buds unfolding - these happen to be Horse Chestnut buds, but the principle is the same.
