Scaravelli yoga is a form of yoga that  can be enjoyed by everyone - it welcomes all levels of fitness and  flexibility and all ages.   

​This is yoga that is kind to the body and that encourages you to listen to your body’s voice. Nothing is forced - the practice is a gentle and respectful conversation between your body, spirit and mind. It creates an awareness of what is experienced in the moment.

The deep respect that Vanda had for the wisdom of the body is expressed  in one of her famous quotations.
Do not kill the instinct of the body for the glory of the pose.

Do not look at your body like a stranger, but adopt a friendly approach towards it.

Watch it, listen to it, observe its needs, its requests
and even have fun.

To be sensitive is to be alive.

VANDA SCARAVELLI, WAS ORIGINALLY TRAINED BY IYENGAR.  LATER SHE WENT ON TO DEVELOP HER OWN UNIQUE APPROACH WHICH SHE DESCRIBES IN HER INSPIRATIONAL BOOK 'AWAKENING THE SPINE'.

I am currently engaged  in a two year Teacher Training course in Scaravelli yoga in Brighton. It is an inspiring and illuminating course that supports my Qigong practice and teaching.
